In 1996 I started working on Alias/Wavefront Power Animator. In 1999 I switched to Maya and worked for several years as CG Supervisor, Art Director and CGI consultant for different German companies. I was VFX supervisor for the German TV movie "The Frog King" in 2008 followed by the "Sleeping Beauty" in 2009. At the time I managed my studio team and was doing on set supervision. Later in house VFX supervision to deliver the project for the Bavaria Film Company in Munich, Germany.
With my work as senior lighting&shading TD and Nuke Compositor I did my first feature film project "Die Wunderkinder"(GER 2011). I got into stereoscopic compositing with Nuke at Trixter in Munich working on "Priest" (USA 2011), "The Green Lantern" (USA 2011) and "Journey 2 - Mysterious Island" (USA 2011). Moving back to Berlin I had the chance to work for Pixomondo Images on "Hugo" as stereo compositor in this native stereo project.
In 2012 I worked for MPC on "Man of Steel" and started to live on the West Coast in Vancouver. I had the chance to explore deep comps in Nuke and could develop my first deep range Gizmo, which got part of the MPC pipeline. Next project at MPC was "Fast and Furious 6" where I worked on some chasing shot sequences. Went to Scanline VFX Vancouver to work on water and destruction shots in several shows like "Pompeji" or "Game of Thrones". I moved on to Method Vancouver working on the marvellous adventure "Avengers - Age of Ultron" with awesome Sub Ultron shots. "Alice in Wonderland - Through the Looking Glass" and "Who you gonna call? -Ghostbusters" were projects at Sony Imageworks. Got hired by Digital Domain as Lead Compositor on "The Fate of the Furious". Was leading a 200+ ice chase sequence, deep development and created deep based look dev tools for comp.
